  • De lecture about the Sheela-na-gig op 24-okt-2010 was intimate and passionate .
    In short:

It has been 10 years since Aly Grelling met the Sheela-na-gig while she was stud
ying art at the DIT in Dublin (Ireland.) De Sheela is a special phenomenon in Ireland and it has been and has still a big influence on her work.

    What is een Sheela-na-gig?
Why does she sit above the entrance of a RK church in Ireland?
WHat is the reason she spreads out her legs?
Does she still have her powers today?
And at last....    What do you see a
    bout this in Aly's art?

Some overview pictures of the lecture itself:

  • The open studio days of the artist movement 'OpDreef' at the end of May was a great success.
It was busy with happy and (very important too) buying people. A lot has been sold this weekend.

News:

  • Work designed by Aly will be sold in a shop in Utrecht (Holland) from the 1st of June..!!
It's a combination between a painting and a tool to measure a child. A beautiful gift for child or grandchild.
You can use them until they are 2 meters high. In this way a child can 'grow up' with art.

Have a look in the showroom of the show & sell part of Studio Utrecht, in de Schoutenstraat nr. 2 in the heart of Utrecht.
more: www.12growup.nl for more information. Or send a mail.
